has died at 61
World Wrestling Entertainment has confirmed. The WWE Hall of Famer passed away in his Hollywood, Calif. home after suffering a heart attack in his sleep Thursday night. He was discovered on Friday, TMZ reported.
Piper, who also went by the name “Hot Rod” which was often seen blazoned across his shirt, had been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2006 but last fall said that he was cancer free.
In his monumental career, he was named Intercontinental Champion, World Tag Team Champion, WCW U.S. Champion and inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 in Los Angles.
Remember the movie They Live? It’s the 1988 John Carpenter film about a group of elite aliens that control human beings on Earth through a TV signal that keeps people subdued with messages to obey government, consume and stay asleep like good little sheeple.
A drifter realizes what’s up by looking through the Hoffman sunglasses and seeing the true from of these alien controllers and their brainwashing campaign for what it really is. Tagline: “They live, we sleep.”
For 1988, the movie even had flying taser drones. So basically it’s a lot like America today (except the lizard alien part, which is debatable depending on who you ask).
Wrestler Rowdy Roddy Piper played the drifter in that film, and recently he announced on his Twitter account that They Live actually wasn’t a work of fiction, but a documentary.

I have had TL in my dvd collection for years.
Funny how he posts that info on his twitter account, and then wakes up dead of a heart attack…..or is it because he told the truth, and they didn’t like it.
it’s like the 8 dead doctors, and 5 more missing, they all had one thing in common. They all told people that vaccinations were dangerous, and would kill and mane, and they had a Natural solution…. so they were silenced..
That tweet was from 2013.
Roddy’s lifestyle was pretty wild. He was a heavy drinker and drug user, during his career. It’s not surprising that it took it’s toll on his heart. It was no “Blood Sacrifice”, and he wasn’t “silenced”.
After fighting cancer for 5 years, and the drinking, his heart just gave out. Nothing more.
Stop making more out of it, than there needs to be. Let him rest in peace.

I don’t know why but I never cared for him. He had no pizazz for a wrestler. Nothing outstanding about him.

He may not have been a genius in the ring (he had the most scientific of all eye pokes), but it’s what he did on the microphone, that made him the greatest heel of all time.
